Job Description

About Paxos

Today’s financial infrastructure is archaic, expensive, inefficient and risky — supporting a system that leaves out more people than it lets in. So we’re rebuilding it.

We’re on a mission to open the world’s financial system to everyone by enabling the instant movement of any asset, any time, in a trustworthy way. For over a decade, we’ve built blockchain infrastructure that tokenizes, custodies, trades and settles assets for the world’s leading financial institutions, like Mastercard, Visa, Robinhood, and PayPal.

About the team

The Experience Platform team is on a mission to enable a best-in-class unified and fully self-service platform product experience for our customers. We drive core initiatives around self-serve provisioning, governance, and platform usage while providing shared libraries and components to ensure a reliable, secure and agile experience across Paxos services. Our team is at the forefront of transforming how customers interact with Paxos' products through intuitive interfaces and robust API solutions.

About the role

As a Software Engineer on the Experience Platform team, you'll play a crucial role in building and evolving Paxos' unified platform experience. You'll work on challenging projects involving user authentication, access control systems, and self-service capabilities that directly impact our customers' ability to manage their digital assets efficiently. This is an opportunity to shape the future of financial infrastructure while working with modern technologies and solving complex technical challenges at scale.

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement secure, scalable features for the Paxos Dashboard, focusing on user authentication, RBAC, and governance flows

  • Build and maintain API services that power critical dashboard functionality using languages like Golang, Java, Python, or Kotlin

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless integration between front-end interfaces and backend services

  • Create and maintain shared libraries and components that ensure consistency across Paxos services

  • Implement robust monitoring and observability solutions using tools like Datadog

  • Drive technical decisions and architectural improvements that enhance platform reliability and security

  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members

About you

  • 3+ years of experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications and services

  • Strong proficiency in at least one of: Golang, Java, Python, or Kotlin

  • Experience with cloud-native infrastructure and tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and AWS services

  • Track record of designing and implementing IAM, RBAC systems, or identity management solutions

  • Expertise in API design and development, with a focus on security and scalability

  • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols

  • Excellent collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work across teams and functions

  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve how you work

Disclaimer: The first week of employment will be conducted in person at our New York City headquarters. By applying to this role, you acknowledge and agree that you will be able to travel to and work from our New York City office for onboarding during this period.
